Lean IT is the application of Lean principles to the management of information technology, and its application in organizations is a lever for cultural change, adoption of the spirit of continuous improvement and efficiency in organizations. It is possible to do things easier, faster and reducing costs.
The principles are very simple and have to do with common sense. Chief among them is that we must focus on providing value to the customer. But another very important and differentiates Lean from other initiatives to improve efficiency, is that it relies heavily on teams, which are participants in the process, and who carry out and perform it.
