Migration to Cloud and maintenance of the e-commerce portal
Migration from on-premise infrastructure based on WordPress to cloud infrastructure using Liferay as a base for a leading multinational company in the Food and Beverage sector, adding more security with WAF and using containers (EKS) to deploy the new portal.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a cloud infrastructure with high quality standards.
Our client, a multinational company in the food sector, dedicated to the production, marketing and distribution of beverages, needed to update and migrate the current on-premise infrastructure to a cloud infrastructure.
To do this, a new website and infrastructure was created from scratch with quality standards and modern designs, since the previous base was in a critical state due to poor maintenance and little updating.
THE SOLUTION
Evolve from a monolithic design to a container-based modular design, adding stability and scalability to services.
Panel has managed to evolve from a monolithic design to a modular design based on containers, adding stability and scalability to services, adding an observability layer to act preventively, improving SLAs and guaranteeing high availability.
With our proposal, performance was improved and elasticity was added to the infrastructure, allowing it to be scaled depending on the needs at any given time, reducing manual interventions and improving stability when using containers. Maintenance of the underlying infrastructure was simplified, making the maintenance of the underlying infrastructure less critical. environment in the event of problems with the OS on which the application runs, creating backup policies and contingencies not previously applied.
Panel has carried out complete maintenance, ensuring relevant updates and governing security against possible CVEs.
