THE CHALLENGE

Create a technological platform that would allow efficient fleet management.

 

Gas2Move is a new startup that defines itself as the new paradigm of the last logistics mile, revolutionizing the delivery service in the city. It is the first eco-sustainable logistics operator and has the objective of achieving:

A more modern and eco-sustainable fleet: vehicles powered by alternative energies, respectful with the environment, and equipped with sensors that allow, thanks to Big Data, to exploit the data they provide to obtain information that allows improving efficiency, controlling the state of vehicles, their use, their geopositioning, and anticipating breakdowns, which saves time and money.

A committed human team, betting on a humanized management that values ​​the most important asset of the company, and that with the support of the technological platform allows a close monitoring of the workers based on the treatment of all the data generated around the same, and with gamification algorithms that stimulate their personal development in the company.

THE SOLUTION

Development of a comprehensive platform for fleet management that, supported by cloud systems, Big Data and IOT technology, covers the entire life cycle of the delivery service.

 

The platform is supported by a Big Data architecture and the exploitation of the data generated from the IOT devices included in the vehicles (CAN-BUS, specialized sensors ...). This information is exploited from different points of view and is crossed with the rest of the information generated by the system, with the aim of having the business monitored at all times.

The integration and continuous deployment of the platform developments has been carried out through Jenkins, Nexus3 and Maven, generating Docker containers that allow to virtualize and scale the environments easily and quickly. Also performing the integration with the different APIs of logistics providers, to make transparent the management of shipments through the Gas2Move fleet, as well as with providers of different IOT data sources.

Finally, the native Android application for delivery people has been developed, deployed in the Google Store, and is already in operation in almost the entire national territory.

The modeling of all the business processes has been carried out with Camunda, and the software infrastructure is based on development in the cloud.
