The objective of the project consisted of implementing a Software Quality Assurance System, integrated in the Group’s SW development strategy, based on Agile and Lean Management philosophies and in alignment with the requirements of the Tourism Business in relation to the incorporation of new technologies.

DESCRIPTION

PANEL has led the expansion of Globalia’s current Software Life Cycle Management towards a Software Quality Assurance System, acting along three main lines:

  • Definition and implementation of the Testing Strategy.
  • Test Automation and generation of Availability Probes.
  • Training of Globalia’s technical teams to ensure their self-sufficiency for maintaining the Quality Assurance System.
  • Dashboard, support and post-implementation continuity.
HIGHLIGHTS

The Test Automation process and generation of Availability Probes in Production was of vital importance, as it helped to ensure the availability of the product procurement process in its online stores during the different functional development stages of the Front End, enabling the “hot” upload of releases without risk or loss of the transactions performed.

SIGNIFICANT DATA

The Probes make it possible to considerably shorten the time intervals between requests for new requirements from the business units and their deployment to the production environment. The Return On Investment (ROI) of this type of investments is evident a few weeks after the startup of said probes. Additionally, the critical business paths are ensured and the profitability of this project continues to grow. Therefore, both in Production and during the Verification and Validation phase, smoke testing is conducted which quickly detect problems and alert the support teams.
