Iberia company has chosen Panel to ensure the Software Quality of its developments for the new platform www.iberia.com
07/2017 – Present
TYPE OF PROJECT:
Software Quality Assurance & Testing
Java | SoapUI | APPs | Testlink
Multidisciplinary team of Panel’s SQA & Testing Center in Madrid.
FOCUS OF INTEREST:
SQA Culture and Methodology.
Agile Testing. Criticality of business applications.
Iberia’ needs in this project are to promote the transformation initiated by the company with its new architecture towards a more Agile culture, integrating ourselves into development teams that have been implementing this methodology for some time in their daily work.
The objective is to improve Quality from the first stages of development of the different systems, reducing the impact of software incidents in production and implementing Software Quality policies (SQA) that combine and conform to the agile methodology used. This implies that the work of Panel must allow a high degree of automation, in order to have the different accessible, maintainable and versioned test scenarios according to the needs of the moment.
The business needs of Iberia, and the fact of integrating our test engineers in the development teams, implies a rapid resolution of the incidents, as well as a deeper knowledge of the activities and problems that exist in the coding phase of both software as automatic testing.
OUR VALUE PROPOSAL
Panel’s Value in this project is the contribution of a multidisciplinary team specialized in Software Quality and Testing, with a high qualification and adaptability, which allows to assume and solve the constant changes that entails applying Agile methodologies in such a complex environment as it is at Iberia.
Likewise, Panel’s experience in complex projects, both in development and testing, will allow the establishment in the medium term of an Agile SQA process based on adaptive capacity models, together with TCS as a strategic partner for this project.
Despite the short time of service that has elapsed, we can point out that improvements have already been achieved regarding:
– Taking control of the project satisfactorily, after a very demanding Transition process, and marked by critical business deadlines, such as the start-up of the Airlift module over the new platform.
– Application of test methodology adapted to the current needs of a transformation project.
– Capacity to adapt to the variability of the demand, factoring and automating repetitive tasks.
