Pullmantur aims to evolve its current SW Creation Model towards a more efficient approach and with a greater ability to adapt to the functional changes that Business Managers are requiring from IT departments.
The aim is to reduce the setting in production times of your projects, homogenizing the construction and deployment of them, and improving the quality of the software creation process for new functionalities.
OUR VALUE PROPOSAL
The Panel’s value proposal has consisted in providing a Continuous Integration Tool (CI) with a automation high degree, both in its software Creation processes, and in the Deployment and Production Step.
For this, we have worked on two action lines: on the one hand, applying Continuous Integration in the Software Development process, creating a strategy for implementing automatic tests in the process, and specific training on TDD (Test Driven Development). And on the other hand apply Continuous Integration in Deployment, designing and implementing an automatic deployment process.
The Panel’s focus has been based on establishing a collaborative culture among the Development, Testing and Systems Teams, improving the current processes efficiency, using the continuous improvement approach and establishing metrics that allow measuring the obtained performance, facilitating its improvement.
With the PANEL help, PULLMANTUR has launched its Continuous Integration processes in the two aforementioned lines (Development and Deployment), with significant improvements both in the production times of new functionalities and in the quality indicators of the functionalities developed.
The automation processes are also enabling the SW Creation model to be transformed into agile approaches, allowing a greater involvement of Business users, who can now see their functional changes in production much earlier, and can make decisions with greater security.
For its part, the IT department now has a greater capacity to optimize the hardware and software resources associated with each step to production, in addition to having significantly improved communication with business users, and their level of satisfaction.
