Micronaut: JVM-based framework for creating microservices

We return with a new quote from the 101 Panel Tech Days, and this time let's learn more about micronaut, a JVM-based framework for creating reactive microservices in Java, Groovy, and Kotlin. You can not lose this!.

Micronaut is developed by the creators of Grails, and takes inspirations from lessons learned over 10 years building a framework based on Spring. Micronaut was presented in March 2018, and its first release was at the end of May, after almost 2 years of development by the team of Object Computing, Inc.
In this session, which took place on Thursday 25 de Octubre, the main characteristics of the framework were addressed:

  • Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control (IoC).
  • Configuration system.
  • HTTPservices.
  • Cloud and serverless deployments.
  • Management & Monitoring.

This interesting talk was attended by Alvaro Sanchez Mariscal, a passionate Agile developer and enthusiast with over 18 years of experience currently working as a software engineer at Object Computing (OCI), open source development company Groovy, Grails, and Micronaut.
